Association Policy and Bylaws Council

This committee is responsible for recommending changes when necessary to the GDHA ByLaws and preparing the manuals for the delegates to Annual Session.

Specific duties of this committee include:

  1. Preparing the proper wording for all amendments to the Bylaws submitted for consideration.
  2. Reporting to the Executive Board all proposed amendments to the Bylaws submitted for consideration.
  3. Presenting to the general membership all proposed amendments to the Bylaws.
  4. Keeping on file a current copy of all Component Bylaws.
  5. Studying for approval all Component's Bylaws whether new or revised.
  6. Recommending any amendments or corrections of Component's Bylaws according to the Bylaws of GDHA and ADHA.
  7. Notifying Components of change in Bylaws and send a revised copy to the GDHA Executive Board for acceptance.
  8. Updating the Policy and Procedures manual as needed.
  9. Collecting manuals at the end of Annual Session to be distributed to the newly appointed officers and committee chairs.
